Clinique Anti-Blemish Clearing Gel | New On The Market

Hello everyone, today I am back with another 'New On The Market' post and it's going to be based on the Clinique Anti-blemish Solutions Clearing Gel. This is part of Clinique's new Anti-Blemish line which is targeted at people with oily/blemish prone skin. Which is my skin type. This line offers a range of cleansers, toners, treatments and masks all targeted at spot prone skin. As it is Clinique it is on the pricier side at £20 for 30ml, but I think it is important to invest in a good spot treatment that will actually work to help your skin because let's face it, who likes spots?

When I bought this my skin was going through a bad patch and I was suffering quite bad breakouts on my forehead, which I never really got before, So I bought this product in desperation really and I wasn't disappointed! I have tried so many spot treatments in the past but none of them I have noticed to have made a dramatic difference, but this product certainly did. The gel is a clear liquid that I apply twice a day after I moisturize in the areas I need it. It can tend to sting your spots a bit, but that is what tells you that it's working! After a day of using it, I noticed that my spots had calmed down and reduced it redness already. After continuing to use it, it really helped to reduce the size of spots and I also realized that it left less scaring. The only down side I found with this product is that it has a really quite strong alcohol scent to it which I know a lot of people don't like, however if you can get past that it's an all round great product. I wouldn't recommend applying this all over your face as it tends to dry out certain areas as it is so strong. If you have dry skin I don't think this is the product for you as it dries out the spot and will just aggravate and further dry out your skin

Overall I have fallen in love with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone who suffers with blemish prone skin. I am now in fact on my second tube of this, which just shows how much I love it! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post.

Spring Favourites

Hello everyone and this post is all about my spring favourites. I love Spring mainly because of all the pastels and floral prints coming back on trend. Although it's still quite cold here in Britain, I still like to embrace the pastels and of course it means Summers getting closer!

I'll firstly start off with nail polishes. In the Spring I tend to go for for pastels and nudes. If i'm honest I have way too many to count because they are my favourite colours to wear on my nails. So here I am showing you my top three. I love the look of nudes on your nails as I think they look really minimalist, like your wearing nothing almost, the colour I have hear is Barry Gelly Nail Paint in 'Lychee'. The next colour I love to wear on my nails is simply white. It gives a clean finish to your nails and goes with just about anything, it is also bang on trend this Spring. Finally the last colour I have to show you just screams Spring to me and it's another Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in 'Rose Hip' it's a gorgeous pastel pink shade which has to be one of my all time favourite colours. If you didn't already notice I really like Barry M, a lot!

Moving onto lip products I tend to not wear an awful lot, as I prefer a fresh faced look when Spring comes around. But when I do I steer towards peaches and nude pinks, as they give a natural look. The first colour I have here is the Revlon Lip butter in 'Juicy Papaya' it is a sheer peachy orange shade that adds a nice amount of gloss to your lips without being to bright, so it's perfect if your not too keen on very a bright orange on your lips. My go to nude pink shade is Mac's 'Creme Cup' it's a 'your lips but better' shade and just adds a little something to any makeup look.

As for scents, I am a sweet scent kind of girl over musky or floral. My pick has to be the Hollister sprays in general as they last for ages and smell amazing. If I had to choose one it would be the scent 'Cresent Bay' as it's still sweet but not too overpowering.

In the Spring I love have really highlighted inner corners. It really makes you look more awake and your eyes appear more rounded. For that I use the Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in 'Milk' it's a matte white shade and because it's in pencil form it is super easy to apply in the inner corner. The formula of these is also super creamy and is really easy to blend out for a subtle look.

My current favourite piece of jewellery is this stunning clear crystal necklace* from the lovely Ida Jewellery. It goes perfectly with any outfit I wear and completes it. It is amazing quality and it's not been from around my neck.

I'm turning into a 90's kid recently, I have collected a lot of Scrunchies over time and I love each one of them! I love the way they look in a simple pony tail or a half up half down look. They just spice up a boring hairstyle. I have a collection here from Junk Love*, Stitch By Lou* and New Look.

Time for my fashion favourite: dresses. I have recently been loving dresses, I haven't got one in particular I have just been loving all of my dresses right now! Although I have been loving this tunic dress from Topshop especially. I love how they are so easy to style, you can just throw on a pair of shoes with them and your good to go!

I hope you enjoyed finding out what my spring favourites are and leave a comment below telling me yours! I would love to hear from you. Thank you for reading.

Skaters and Oversized Tees

Top // Lily Vintage (similar)
Skirt // Topshop
Shoes // Doc Martens
Flannel // Brandy Melville (no longer available)
Unicorn Necklace // Blossom In The Wind*
Clear Crystal Necklace // Ida Jewellery*
Watch // Tesco (similar)

Hello everyone! The weather over Easter was lovely!, it was so sunny and actually quite warm. But as soon as the bank holiday is over it's back to good old British weather, I'm writing this as I'm  listening to the pouring rain. That why this outfit is a little on the warmer side as if you live in Britain you will know we have bipolar weather here, (yay...) I have recently been experimenting with my clothes to create new outfits, and I have been loving wearing skater skirts and oversized tees. Usually I would tuck the tee in to give a fitted look, but instead I have been wearing them loose, and I really like the way it looks. I paired the outfit with a flannel around my waist for both warmth, if it got cooler and style (of course) For shoes I wore my beloved Serena Doc Martens, that I get use of throughout both the Winter and the Summer months. For jewellery I am wearing this small vintage inspired watch, I actually got from Tesco! I am then wearing two gorgeous necklaces, The adorable unicorn necklace is from the lovely Blossom In The Wind*. The other is one of my favourites right now from the lovely Ida Jewellery*, it's a stunning clear crystal which goes with just about anything.

I hope you enjoyed this outfit post! I will see you soon in my next post.

Tanya Burr Lips and Nails | First Impressions

Hello everyone, I am probably one of the last bloggers to get my hands on Tanya Burr's new makeup line called Tanya Burr Lips and Nails. As soon as I heard Tanya was releasing her own line of makeup, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited for it. I went on the websites and stalked all of the colours and chose my favourites. They are available on Feel Unique and now in stores in some larger Superdrug. If I hadn't restrained myself I can assure you I would have come out with every different shade, but in the end I went for the neutral shades that I would be able to wear over and over.

The lip gloss I picked up is in the shade 'Just Peachy' it is a gorgeous peachy nude shade with tiny flecks of shimmer that are hardly noticeable. They retail for £6.99, I personally think that's an amazing price for a drugstore lip product. These lip glosses are super pigmented, and have a consistency more like a liquid lipstick. I love the formula, as it's isn't too sticky but not matte in any way, so it doesn't sink into the fine lines in your lips but adds a really nice glossy finish to them. I can't not do a first impressions and not mention how amazing these lip glosses smell! they honestly smell exactly like strawberry laces to me, which makes me want to eat it but I'm pretty sure they're inedible. After applying the lip gloss I noticed how well the colour lasted! after I drank and ate the glossy finish did fade however the colour seemed to stain my lips and leave a 'your lips but better' shade which I have to say I loved.

Funny enough the nail polish I picked up in 'Peaches and Cream' looks almost exactly the same colour as the lip gloss. I know 'Peaches and Cream' is a blogger favourite, which is one of the main reasons I picked it up! The nail polishes retail for £5.99 which again is an affordable price. The shade of nail polish I haven't really seen before, it's a peachy warm toned nude, you usually see pink toned nudes so this is a great lead on from that. I am a huge fan of nude nails, as they make it appear your wearing no polish and overall just makes your nails look nicer and well finished. Once I had applied it, it seemed to dry quite quickly surprisingly, I though it would take longer as it is a thick formula and the polish itself was really opaque after two coats. I found that this polish didn't chip on me easily and lasted me almost a full week without chipping and my nails are usually prone to peeling and chipping after a day or two.

Overall I would highly recommend checking out Tanya's collection, it's really worth it! Both products are high quality and I love both of them. I hope you enjoyed this post and leave a comment below telling me what I should pick up next from the line? Thank you for reading.

Spring Beauty Wishlist

Hello everyone, today's post is going to be the beauty edition of my wishlists. Over the past few months I have been focusing on fashion over beauty items. That has resulted in me spending all my money on new clothes rather than makeup, and I have to say I have enjoyed it. But it has left me with some serious issues with makeup that I know I would love to get my hands on but can't afford (sigh) The majority of these products are high end because who doesn't love to browse the high ends counters and make it look like you've got money!. I am in no doubt that I won't get my hands on these products, but if I do I will be a VERY happy girl.

- Micheal Todd Products
- Zoeva Rose Gold Brush Set
- Mac 'Antiqued' Eye shadow
- Tarte Airbrush Powder Foundation
- Tanya Burr Lipgloss
- Tanya Burr Nail Polish
- Mac 'Peach Blossom' Lipstick

Those are the current products I have been lusting over. I have heard so many blog posts and YouTube videos on these products, which is the main reason I want to get them of course. I blame bloggers for my shopping addiction! I would love to get my hands on some of these products, but I very much doubt any time soon. I hope you enjoyed reading about the products I am currently wishing over and I hope it has made you want to go out and buy them now (sorry!) Thank you for reading.

School Girls Shoes

Top // Topshop (buy similar)
Jeans // Topshop
Socks // Primark
Shoes // Schuh

Hello everyone. I am a huge fan of over sized tee's, I love the laid back look they give to an outfit. So when I saw this gorgeous one from Topshop I just had to purchase it. It has a faint opaque rose design, which is a subtle way to wear floral this Spring and Summer. Like I always do with a baggy top, I go for tight fitting bottoms to balance out the outfit. I went for these Jamie jeans from Topshop also, they are almost black, deep navy shade. For my shoes I wanted to go with something a little different. I recently picked up these school inspired buckled shoe in a patent leather, and if I'm honest I think I'm in love with a pair of shoes! This style of T-bar shoes are really on trend right now and I'm glad of it. I paired them with some white frilly socks. I think it adds a really cute school girl theme to the outfit, and adds an innocent look. For jewellery I didn't want to wear any as I wanted to keep the outfit minimalist and innocent. Also I don't think I needed any.

I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know your opinions on the outfit in the comments. Thank you for reading.

Revlon Lip Butters | Review

Left to Right: Strawberry Shortcake, Pink Truffle, Peach Parfait and Juicy Papaya

Left to right: Peach Parfait, Pink Truffle, Juicy Papaya and Strawberry Shortcake

Hello everyone and I am back with another review post. Today I'm going to be reviewing the Revlon Lip Butters, these have been out a while in the UK now and they are really hyped up in the blogging and vlogging industry.

Revlon Lip Butters retail for £7.99, which I think is a great price for a drugstore lip product. They are known for the moisturizing tint they give to your lips. Most of the shades are quite sheer, but can be built up to the desired shade you want. The four colours I own are: 'Strawberry Shortcake', a baby pink tone; 'Juicy Papaya', which is a coral shade; 'Pink Truffle', is more of a mauve pink/brown and finally 'Peach Parfait', which is a shimmery peach colour. My personal favourite out of all of these shades is 'Strawberry Shortcake', because it has the best colour pay off and I think it is one of the more wearable shades. I'm not a fan of 'Peach Parfait' as I really don't like the chunky shimmer it has, I love the colour but not the added shimmer. 'Juicy Papaya' is another favourite of mine and it's perfect for the spring and summer months. Out of all of the shades it is more sheer which I prefer as it gives a subtle coral tint to your lips. 'Pink Truffle' is the latest edition to my mini collection, It is a really pretty deep pink mauve shade. It would be perfect in the fall and winter months, and this is one of the more opaque shades.

All the Lip Butters are super moisturizing and don't sink into the lines or cracks on your lips. They are not drying at all and they offer a sheer tint colour with a glossy finish, if your a fan of matte lips I wouldn't recommend these. I prefer wearing the Revlon Lip Butters to normal lipsticks, as they are a lot lighter on your lips for the Spring and Summer months.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know your opinions on Revlon Lip Butters and your favourite shades?

Simple Skincare | Brand Focus

Hello everyone and welcome to another brand focus, this one is going to be based around simple skincare. I am a firm lover of all simple skincare and I'm going to give you an overview of all the products I own. Simple products are highly affordable and it is available at a range of different stores. It is one of the cult drugstore favourite skincare ranges for bloggers and many other people.  It is one of few skincare brands that offer no added chemicals to their products and that is why they are aimed at sensitive skin.

The first product I own is the Simple Brightening Eye Cream, this product is from the radiance range simple does. This is the only product from that range I have currently tried, however I'm not to keen on this product. I don't notice it to do anything major to my under eye area, it doesn't really brighten them but it does add simmer which really casts of in the light. For that reason I never wear it in the day as I don't like to look like I've put full on glitter under my eyes. However it does soothe your eye area and reduce puffiness.

The next products are all from the Kind To Skin Range by Simple which has to be my favourite. The first product I have is the Simple Deep Cleansing Face Mask. This is a cream based mask so aswell as being deep cleaning it also offers moisture to your skin. It doesn't really set onto your face, you just leave it for 10 minutes and rinse. I love how this mask leaves my skin feeling soft because of the moisture but I can feel that it has also deep cleaned my pores.

Next I have the Simple Soothing Facial Toner. I am a firm believer in following up cleansing with toning and this is the current toner I always reach for and I have gone through numerous bottles of it! It really does soothe your skin and helps get rid of any residue left by the cleanser. I don't have a bad word to say against it.

The Simple Kind to Eyes Nourishing Eye Makeup Remover is the best eye makeup remover I've tried. It doesn't irritate my eyes and it does a really good job at removing all traces of makeup even waterproof mascara. The fact that it's cream formula also means that you don't have to rub at your eyes as much, which can help reduce dark circles.

My all time favourite moisturizer (considering I've only ever used two different ones) is the Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer. It is great for all year round as it's not too heavy for in the summer, but it still really moisturizes your skin throughout the winter months. It doesn't leave my skin feeling greasing and skins into the skin almost immediately.

Overall I would highly recommend Simple as a skincare brand to anyone, their products are amazing quality and offer so many benefits for the skin. I would recommend Simple if you are just branching out into skincare as they offer everything you will need at affordable prices. I hope you enjoyed this post. What are your favourite Simple products?

What's in my bag?

Hello everyone and after doing the 'what's in my travel makeup bag' I thought I would do a what's in my bag as we all like to look whats in other peoples bags.

I only usually carry a small bag around with me with my necessities in, but when I go to Liverpool or London I will take a bigger bag so I can more things I may need. The bag here is from Next and was in the sale for just £14! The things I can never leave the house without are my purse and my phone of course (for constantly checking Instagram and Twitter) I then keep my makeup bag for touch ups, to see what's in my makeup bag click here. I next have some chewing gum, because I have a fear of having bad breath! My everyday scent which is the Hollister spray in Cresent Bay, it smells amazing I take that with me to top up throughout the day. I have an Eos lip balm in sweet mint to keep my lips moisturized; a soap and glory hand sanitiser; hair grips, to pull my hair out of my face; some Paracetamol for emergencies; my keys with my amazing deathly hallows keyring and finally this gorgeous pocket mirror I use for touch ups from the lovely Rainy Day Designs*.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Have you got anything interesting in your bag?

Fresh Faced Makeup

Hello everyone, it feels like forever since I posted a makeup routine. So today I thought I would do a Spring look. In the Spring and Summer time I don't like wearing to much makeup as, I want a fresh faced look not a full face of makeup look, so I generally keep it simple. Of course you can change this to fit how you like it too look, but this is just the current makeup I have been loving to wear recently.

I first start off with concealer, in the Spring and Summer I don't like wearing foundation or bb cream personally as it tends to wear off easier and it just feels heavy on my skin. So instead I like to just use concealer on any areas that I need it, so under my eyes and on blemishes. The concealer I'm using is the Maybelline Fit Me and to blend it out I use the Real Techniques 'Detailer Brush'.

To get rid of excess shine on my face and set my concealer in place, I then powder my skin using the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. I apply this in my T-zone to get rid of oil but to keep my face still looking dewy and not overly powdery for that I use the Ecotools Powder Brush.

I will next move onto brows, I have really been into filling them in recently. Before filling them in I brush through them using a spooly. To fill them in I use the Natural Collection eye shadow Duo in 'Mocha/Latte' I take the dark brown shad and using my Ecotools 'Flat Liner' Brush, I fill them in to the thickness I want. I then brush though then again to get rid of excess product and to soften them up a bit. To keep them in place all day I use a clear mascara, this is the 17 clear definition mascara.

I don't tend to do a lot to my eyes in the S/S months. I usually grab a cream eye shadow, my favourite to use is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in 'Barely Branded'. It really brightens up your eyes and I love the brightened eye look right now and it's really on trend!

Leading on from the brightened eyes I then like to highlight my inner corner of my eyes using the Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in 'Milk', this again really brightens you eyes and makes them appear more rounded.

Next I move onto my favourite bit: mascara. Here I am using the Clinique Optimal Impact Mascara. It is great at both lengthening and thickening.

I next line my waterline with this Rimmel Scandel Eyes in 'Nude' which really makes your eyes pop.

Finally I apply a lip product. Recently I have been loving nude pink lipsticks, I have been wearing The Mac lipstick in creme cup which I have reviewed here. Its a perfect pink shade and will go with every skin tone.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it.
